Ghee is clarified butter which is slow cooked over a fire on earthen pots which allows the fat solids to separate. The liquid part is skimmed off and poured into sterile jars. It is infused with organic greens like Tulsi which act as aromatics as well as add natural antioxidants to the ghee.

The maintenance of our soil fertility relies principally on the use of legumes, crop rotations, the application of composted animal manures, green manures and ground rock minerals. Weeds are controlled by mechanical methods while pests and diseases tend not to be a problem due to the inherent biodiversity in the system. Artificial fertilizers, herbicides, growth regulators and livestock feed additives are prohibited in our farm. Mulching and mixed cropping of about 3 to 4 crops at one area is done for better results. 
All our products are organically grown, harvested, dried, powdered and packed in the most hygienic way possible and we do not use any 3rd party raw materials since it is a farmer owned brand.

Butter is clarified to make ghee. The milk solids that do remain in butter are removed when the butter is clarified to ghee. This makes ghee safe for lactose intolerant people but make sure to take p VIROGA pure A-2 desi cow ghee.

 

5)Why A-2 cow ghee is more expensive compared to other ghee?

The regular ghee available in the market is prepared from Jersey or HF cow milk which produces 25-30 litres of milk per day while A-2 Ghee is prepared from the milk of A-2 desi cow breeds like Gir, Kankrej, Kapila, Malnad Gidda, Hallikar, Sahiwal etc which produces just 2 to 8 litres of milk per day and it takes 25-30 litres of milk to make 1 litre of ghee.
